One of the ways our parish serves together is by preparing meals for the men at St. Herman House in Cleveland. St. Herman’s has been offering shelter, meals, and support since 1977, and it continues to be a place of welcome for those in need.

On our most recent meal prep day, parishioners gathered to make a simple but hearty dinner of enchiritos, chips with salsa, and rice. The kitchen filled quickly with conversation and laughter as everyone found a task – chopping, stirring, rolling, or just lending a hand where it was needed.

These days in the kitchen are more than just cooking. They’re a chance to serve side by side, to offer something good and nourishing, and to be reminded that small acts of love matter. St. Herman’s provides three meals every day of the year, and being able to contribute to that work is both humbling and joyful.

Meal prep days happen regularly, and everyone is welcome to join in. Whether you’re comfortable in the kitchen or just willing to pitch in, there’s always a place at the counter.
